  1. Focus 4/4

Your essay has a clear purpose. I know what the topic is from the beginning of the essay to the end of the essay.

    Organization 3/4

Your introduction might want to tell the reader you are going to discuss explorers from different countries. This prepares your readers about your essay and helps them to understand what you are writing in the beginning of your essay. The conclusion does not seem to summarize your essay. It doesn’t really end your ideas in your essay. Work on your ending. Go from a small idea to a big idea and make sure you don’t use clichés as the last sentence of your essay.

    Usage 3/4

You generally have no mistakes with your spelling and grammar.
However, there are some little mistakes. Please read your essay again.

    Style 3.5/4

You use the new words in your essay. However, you can think of higher level vocabulary words for your writing. Instead of “good”, maybe you can use “effective”. Try to find other words to make you sound mature and knowledgeable about the language.

    Content 4/4

I like the way you use the facts you have learned in Canadian Studies within this essay. I really enjoyed reading it!

    17.5/20 x2 = 35/40 A very good job!
